Hearts Of Oak Forward Mawuli Wayo Reacts After Scoring Against Medeama SC

Hearts of Oak winger Mawuli Wayo revealed his excitement after inspiring the club to an important away win over Medeama in the Ghana Premier League.

The former Great Olympics and Bibiani Goldstars attacker registered his name on the scoresheet as the Phobians cruised to a 2-0 victory over the Yellow and Mauves at the TnA Stadium on Friday night.

The first half of the crucial game ended in a pulsating goalless draw, as both teams struggled to find the net.

However, Hearts of Oak showcased resilience and determination in the second half of the game to snatch maximum points over Medeama.

The Phobians finally seized their chance in the 63rd minute when forward Kwabena Boateng capitalized on a well-crafted play to net the first goal of the match.

Mawuli Wayo doubled Hearts’ lead in the 87th minute, delivering the final blow that sealed Medeama’s fate and secured all three points for the visiting side.

“Always believe” Wayo wrote on Facebook while celebrating his outfit away win over Medeama.

This win boosts Hearts of Oak’s league position and fuels their confidence as they continue to climb the ranks.

Wayo has one goal from five games for Hearts of Oak and will be hoping for more as the season unfolds.
